


Kristian Oma Rønnes (b. 1991) has been studying bassoon with his father since he was 6 years old. In Spring 2010 he will graduate at St. Svithun High School, and his chambermusic studies as part time student at the music university of Stavanger.
He is in the same periode engaged as bassoonist with Tromsø’s Symphony Orchestra, performing Beethoven and Mozart symphonies partly as solo basoonist.
Autumn 2009 he was awarded the global schoolarship from Stavanger Sparebank.
Autumn 2007 he passed the audition as part time student at the Norwegian Academy of Music (NMH), in Oslo. In this period he attended several orchestra and chamber projects at the school. One of this projects was in collaboration with the world famous composer Krzysztof Penderecki.
After an audition Kristian was appointed as solo bassoonist for the Norwegian Youth Symphony Orchestra (NUSO) for several projects the last 3 years. They had concerts in Stavanger, Bergen, Trondheim, Liverpool and more.
As bassoon soloist he has attended in the following projects:
Despite his young age, he has attended several other orchestra- and chamber projects with different ensembles, nationally and internationally.
