She started playing the violin at the age of 3 and entered the music conservatory at the age of 13. After six years of studies with Prof. Veselka (former student of D. Oistrach), she continued her violin studies with Prof. Vitek at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen, with Prof. Karafilova at the Conservatoire de Lausanne and with Prof. Ozim/Herzl at the Univärsitet “Mozarteum” in Salzburg.
She finished her Master degree in 2007 at UiS with Prof. Bjøranger. Ingerine Dahl is a renowned soloist and chamber musician, receiving several high-ranked awards and prices, amongst others the Shell-prize (both as soloist and with her string tri0 Skasei) and SR-banks G9alt scholarship.
Examples of recent chamber music projects include a full concert-series (Stavanger/Brno/Belgrade) and recording of Beethoven´s complete sonatas for violin and piano with Serbian pianist, Milan Rabrenovic and a very successful tour of China with Skasei trio for WU-promotion, both in 2010-2011. Next season she will devote to Schubert´s complete works for violin and piano and Skasei trio is touring in France and Portugal.
She has won prizes in Norwegian and Danish violin-competitions and in chamber music competitions in Switzerland and Italy.
She has recorded a solo cd with Prokofiev, Grieg, Lutoslawsky and Gershwin with the renowned pianist Erling R. Eriksen for Shell and Beethoven and Mozart-trios with Skasei trio for Azzurra Music.
Ingerine Dahl has been engaged as soloist with several Norwegian and Danish orchestras, playing violin-concertos by amongst others Beethoven, Mozart, Bruch, Vivaldi and Piazzolla. In November 2010 she was soloist on tour with SSO and Fabio Biondi.
Skasei trio has toured in Scandinavia, Italy, South-Africa and China with much success.
She has participated in masterclasses with amongst others: Gyorgy Pauk, Eduard Melkus, Dora Schwartzberg, Erich Gruenberg, Levon Chilingirian, Alexander Kerr, Isabelle van Keulen, Christian Tetzlaff, Midori.
