Milan Rabrenovic was born in Belgrade, Serbia. He has graduated at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade in the class of Professor Nevena Popovic. Milan has been living in Norway from 2004 where he finished his Master and Postgraduate studies at the University of Stavanger in the class of Professor Håkon Austbø. He is employed at the University of Stavanger as Assistant professor in piano accompaniment.
At the moment, Milan’s artistic work is focused on the repertoire for violin and piano duo. The recent artistic projects includes concert performances of complete Beethoven Sonatas for violin and piano in Norway, Serbia and Czech Republic; complete works for violin and piano by F. Schubert; complete sonatas for violin and piano by J. Brahms and R. Schumann; W. A. Mozart – sonatas for violin and piano. Milan has been performing in Serbia, Norway, Czech Republic, Italy, Germany and France.
Milan Rabrenovic has won many prizes on the national and international piano competitions among which are the third prize on the International Piano Competition in Pietra Ligure in Italy, the second prize (first has not been awarded) on the International Piano Competition “KONZERTEUM `02” in Athens and the Special prize for the best interpretation of Beethoven Sonata op. 57 in f-minor at the same competition.
As a soloist Milan has performed with Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra of the Army “Stanislav Binicki”, Orchestra of Radio and Television of Serbia, String Quartet “BACHUS” from Salzburg and Orchestra of the Institute for Music and Dance in Stavanger.
